The Liberation Professional Baseball League (LPBL) was founded in 2020 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic to allow for baseball to return. The league provides an opportunity for players to continue to work on their skills, accumulate statistics in preparation for 2021. 

The independent league also allows fans an opportunity to watch live baseball and regain a sense of normalcy in these unprecedented times. 

The LPBL is four-team league that operates out of the historic League Stadium in Huntingburg, Indiana. Teams consist of professional players who have been displaced due to the cancellation of most leagues. The goal of the league to is to improve players' skills and help promote players to higher organizations.

Teams play a 36-game schedule followed by playoffs.
